Mary Browne Attwood moved to Portland, Oregon in 2012 to study naturopathic medicine at Natural University of Natural Medicine and brought along a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southwestern University and a passion for nature and the outdoors, natural health, yoga, and meditation. Her passions in naturopathic medicine include herbal medicine, nutrition (and nutritional supplementation), biotherapeutic drainage, homeopathy, and physical medicine.
With formal training in bodywork and Shiatsu during her education with NUNM, her massage therapy and energy work is informed by many of the following modalities: Kundalini Yoga, Sat Nam Rasayan, Matrix Energetics, Mindfulness & Meditation, Conscious Systems, crystal & sound healing, Energy Medicine, and hydrotherapy. Her quantum energy work practice is heart-centered and focused on removing what "isn't you" from your being while tapping into the zero point field to connect you with your most authentic self. She is an ordained minister with the Universal Light Church and officiates wedding and marriage ceremonies as well as home and land blessings.
Dr. Attwood’s practice is trauma-informed as well as race, gender, gender-identity, size, faith, and age inclusive. She believes all bodies deserve wellness and opportunities to thrive, while recognizing not all bodies have access to the care they deserve, especially those in marginalized communities. She is actively exploring ways to do less harm as well as promoting social justice within the health and wellness field.
Her practice at Heart of Wellness in Tumwater, Washington stands on ancestral Deschutes, Nisqually, and Squaxin Island Tribal lands.
Her energy work appointments are available nation-and world-wide.
